Hi, I’m Scott — I coach actors and polish scripts so English sounds natural on camera.
I work as an English Dialogue Coach and provide English Script Polish for film and TV teams in Prague. I help actors deliver believable English on camera and refine scripts so dialogue sounds authentic and performance-ready. My background includes sixteen years of editing and screenwriting training at the University of Texas.
I’m also a fiction writer represented by Transatlantic Agency, where I’m developing two novels. This long-form storytelling background helps me coach actors and refine scripts with a strong sense of voice, rhythm, and character.
Alongside my film work, I teach English at the University of West Bohemia, where I help faculty and staff develop clear spoken and written English through a storytelling-based approach.
I also founded Prague Meditation Circle.
I teach English at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen
“Scott writes with clarity and precision about ambiguities and uncertainties. His writing has a complex blend of playfulness and melancholy, irony and sharpness, like the tones and after-tones of a seasoned and well-played guitar.”
Greg Pape, Montana Poet Laureate
“Scott’s writing has a powerful presence and an extraordinary eloquence. The presence is built of exact details, and a sense of place and person; the eloquence is that of natural speech.
“This is writing one listens to, and inhabits, takes part in. Jones is a fine observer of both the outer and the inner landscapes — place, passion, and psyche. His writing is both personal and large, true to self and widely seeking.”
David Wevill, Professor Emeritus, University of Texas at Austin
