English Dialogue

Film & Television

I provide English dialogue support for film and television productions at every stage — from script to screen. Work includes script-level dialogue review, actor preparation and rehearsal support, on-set delivery coaching, ADR preparation and in-booth guidance, and English subtitle and dubbing script review.

I am listed with the Czech Film Commission under Dialogue Coaches and Script Development.

What this looks like in practice

On productions with non-native English cast, the problems tend to cluster in the same places: line readings that are technically correct but don't land, phrasing that sounds translated rather than spoken, and ADR sessions where nobody in the booth is sure whether an alternate take actually sounds better. I work at those pressure points.

At script level, I review English dialogue for naturalness, character consistency, and register — catching problems before they become performance problems. On set, I'm available to give actors alternate phrasings, delivery notes, and line-level adjustments in the moment. In ADR, I work with actors and directors to ensure the final English performance matches the intention of the scene, not just the shape of the original line.

Productions & Credits

Background

I am an American native English speaker, based in Prague since 2017. hold an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana, and a BA in English with a screenwriting focus from the University of Texas at Austin. I have literary representation through Transatlantic Agency. My background is in how English works on the page and in performance — the gap between a line that reads well and a line that plays well is exactly the territory I work in.
