Preparation of English-language presentations, speeches, and conference materials for international audiences. Focus on clarity, register, and how the language lands with English-speaking counterparts.
English Review — EU Grant Applications
Czech, Slovak, and other Central European research teams regularly lose Horizon Europe evaluation points on English quality. I offer pre-submission review of Horizon Europe and other EU grant applications, based in Prague and available on short timelines. Work includes tracked-changes copyediting of the full application and a brief memo on language issues that could affect evaluator judgment. Pricing from €500 per application, agreed in advance.
Academic Manuscript Editing
Copyediting and proofreading for academic authors, journals, and university presses. Work includes peer-reviewed journal articles, monographs, and conference papers across the social sciences, humanities, law, engineering, and medicine — with particular experience editing for ESL authors preparing work for English-language publication. Academic clients have included Charles University, the Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Technical University, and the University of Ostrava Faculty of Medicine. I also offer pre-submission English review of EU grant applications, including Horizon Europe, for researchers at Czech, Slovak, and other Central European institutions.
Book Editing
Copyediting and proofreading for publishers and authors across fiction, nonfiction, and children's books. Clients have included Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, Karolinum Press, Wilderness Press, and Albatros Media.
